Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Location: Stanford-le-Hope, Essex Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Recruitment Agency: Revved Up Recruitment About the Role Revved Up Recruitment is working with an independent garage in Stanford-le-Hope that is looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled all-round mechanic who enjoys working on a variety of vehicles and carrying out everything from routine servicing to more complex mechanical repairs. The successful candidate will be confident working independently, diagnosing faults and completing jobs to a high standard. The garage is looking for someone with solid practical experience who can turn their hand to most aspects of general vehicle maintenance and repair. Key Responsibilities * Carry out routine servicing and scheduled vehicle maintenance. * Diagnose mechanical faults and identify effective repair solutions. * Complete clutch replacements and associated mechanical repairs. * Carry out engine repairs and other complex mechanical work. * Undertake general mechanical repairs across a range of vehicles. * Inspect vehicles and identify faults or additional work required. * Use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment effectively. * Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard. * Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment. Requirements * Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Motor Mechanic or similar. * Strong all-round mechanical knowledge and practical repair experience. * Experience carrying out servicing, clutch replacements and engine work. * Confidence diagnosing faults and working through repairs independently. * A reliable, hardworking attitude with pride in the quality of your work. * Ability to work efficiently as part of a small independent garage team. Relevant automotive qualifications are advantageous, but practical experience and the ability to carry out a wide range of mechanical work are key. Salary and Working Hours Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience and ability. * Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm * Saturday available if wanted Full-time, permanent position.
