Sales Manager

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established international engineering and manufacturing business with the recruitment of a Sales Manager.

Full-time, 12-month fixed-term position based in Rustington, West Sussex, with hybrid working available following probation.

Salary

Fully negotiable depending on experience + additional benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to lead and support a small internal sales team, taking responsibility for sales performance, customer service, order management and the continued development of commercial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Internal Sales Team, setting clear objectives and managing performance.
• Manage team workloads and provide regular feedback, coaching and guidance.
• Support the Managing Director with the development and delivery of sales strategy.
• Drive achievement of sales targets and monitor overall commercial performance.
• Take accountability for costs, profitability and margins.
• Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Strengthen communication between internal and external sales teams.
• Oversee quotations, customer orders, sales administration and order processing.
• Monitor sales pipeline, quotations and monthly revenue performance.
• Manage purchasing from third-party suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Oversee spare parts sales, including online sales activity.
• Maintain pricing information, customer records and relevant sales documentation.
• Support import and export activity, ensuring relevant procedures are followed.
• Use customer feedback to improve service, engagement and the wider sales process.
• Support marketing activity including digital campaigns and promotional initiatives.
• Promote a positive, collaborative and customer-focused culture across the team.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Sales Team Leader, Internal Sales Manager, Sales Supervisor or similar.
• Proven experience leading and developing a small sales team.
• Strong understanding of sales performance, margins and commercial results.
• Confident coaching and motivating sales professionals.
• Excellent communication, questioning, negotiation and objection-handling skills.
• Strong customer relationship and account management ability.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Commercially aware with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
• Experience within an industrial, engineering or manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
• SAP experience would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of HVAC, air handling, air conditioning or related technical products would be advantageous.
