Care Home and Nursery Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant with a valid PVG to join us for assignments at a variety of care homes and nurseries across Aberdeen.

Your rate of pay and hours of work
This temporary position offers a pay rate of £12.21 per hour. In addition to receiving weekly pay, you'll accrue holiday pay. This role features a variety of flexible day shifts available at multiple care home venues across Aberdeen and nearby areas.

Responsibilities within your new role as Kitchen Assistant

• Assisting with food preparation under the guidance of the chef.

• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen area.

• Upholding food safety standards at all times.

• Working effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Your experience, qualifications and personality
The ideal candidate for the role of Kitchen Assistant should hold a valid PVG and have at least 6 - 12 months of experience in a comparable position, ideally within a care home or nursery setting. Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work well within a team are essential. Additionally, candidates should exhibit a passion for delivering excellent service, an appreciation for upholding cleanliness and hygiene standards, and adeptness in managing tasks efficiently even in demanding situations.
