About the role
We're currently recruiting a Ward Host/Hostess to join Healthcare on a part time basis, contracted to 25 hours per week.
You'll make a real difference to patients every day, serving nutritious meals and drinks with care, and bringing a friendly face to the ward.
What you'll do
- Providing menus, taking orders from patients and helping with dietary and allergen queries
- Preparing and serving refreshments and meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Clearing down ward areas and washing up, so the kitchen is ready for the next service
- Liaising with ward staff to make sure patients' needs are met in good time
- Offering great customer service by always putting the patient first

About you
Our ideal Ward Host/Hostess will:
- Be aware of food hygiene standards
- Be passionate about patient care and communicate well with patients, visitors and healthcare staff
- Be able to work under pressure, on your own and as part of a team
- Be confident working in a hospital, aware that at times you'll meet patients who are very unwell or distressed
- Take pride in what you do and go the extra mile for our patients (you don't need to have worked as a Ward Host/Hostess before)
- Be happy to complete a Disclosure & Barring Service check, which we pay for
