Procurement Manager

An excellent procurement opportunity has arisen to join an established organisation with a significant and varied indirect spend portfolio. Working within a collaborative procurement function, you will support key business stakeholders across Marketing and wider Professional Services expenditure. This is an initial 6-month interim assignment with a strong likelihood of extension, offering considerable scope to make an immediate impact.

Your new role

As Interim Procurement Manager, your immediate focus will be on Marketing procurement, supporting spend across areas such as advertising, digital, print and social media platforms and associated marketing services.

This is a hands-on procurement role where you will work closely with a demanding stakeholder community, taking ownership of sourcing activity, supplier negotiations and commercial opportunities. You will also work with detailed and sometimes manual invoice and spend data to identify opportunities and improve commercial visibility. Over time, your remit will broaden to include other Professional Services and Corporate Services spend categories.

What you'll need to succeed - You will be an experienced Procurement Manager, Category Manager or Senior Buyer with:

• Strong Marketing procurement / Marketing category management experience
• Experience sourcing advertising, digital, social media, agency or related marketing services
• Broader Professional Services or Corporate Services procurement experience
• A demonstrable track record of hands-on sourcing and supplier negotiation
• Strong commercial and analytical capability, including working with detailed spend and invoice data
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge and influence
• The ability to quickly understand new categories and deliver results within an interim environment
• A proactive, delivery-focused approach
