Account Assistant

As an Account Assistant in the industrial and manufacturing sector, you'll support the finance team with day-to-day tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate records. Based in Reading, this temporary role is crucial for ensuring smooth financial operations within the organisation.

Description

• Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with preparing financial reports as required.
• Support the finance team with administrative tasks and data entry.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.

Profile

A successful Account Assistant should have:

• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• An ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Job Offer

• Hourly rate between £14.00 and £18.00, dependent on the level of experience.
• Temporary position based in Reading.
