Depot Shift Manager (Transport & Production Operations)
Are you an experienced operational leader who understands both Transport and Production?
At Domino’s, great pizza starts long before it reaches the customer. Behind the scenes, our Supply Chain teams work at pace to make sure our stores have everything they need to keep delivering.
We’re looking for a Depot Shift Manager to join our site in Cambuslang who can bring together the different moving parts of a busy depot operation. You’ll ideally have experience across both transport and production, be comfortable working in a fast-paced FMCG environment and have the confidence to take ownership of the wider site operation during your shift.
If you’re someone who thrives on variety, enjoys leading people and understands the importance of safety, compliance and getting the operation right, this could be a great next move.
What you’ll be doing
This is a hands-on operational leadership role where no two shifts will look exactly the same. You’ll work across Production, Warehouse and Transport, making sure teams work together effectively and the site continues to operate safely, efficiently and compliantly.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Taking ownership of depot operations during your shift.
- Leading and supporting teams across Production, Warehouse and Transport.
- Making sure transport activities comply with relevant transport legislation.
- Keeping safety, quality and operational standards front of mind.
- Responding quickly to operational challenges and changing priorities.
- Using ERP systems and operational information to help manage the shift effectively.
- Building a collaborative environment where different operational teams work together rather than in isolation.
- Maintaining strong attention to detail while working in a busy, high-volume environment.
What we’re looking for
For this role, we’re particularly keen to speak to established shift or operational managers who can demonstrate experience across Transport AND Production.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Strong operational management experience within transport and production.
- Good working knowledge of transport legislation and compliance.
- CPC qualification/knowledge.
- Experience working within a fast-paced FMCG environment, ideally food production or food distribution.
- Experience using an ERP system within an operational environment.
- A recognised health and safety qualification, ideally IOSH, although NEBOSH would also be welcomed.
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with operational information.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, collaborative leadership style and the ability to bring different teams together.
The person behind the experience
We’re not just looking for someone who can manage a shift.
You’ll be comfortable stepping back and looking at the whole depot operation, understanding how decisions made in Production can affect Warehouse and Transport, and vice versa.
You’ll enjoy working at pace, be confident taking ownership when challenges arise and, importantly, understand that running a successful depot is a team effort.
You’ll bring energy, accountability and a genuine passion for helping people and operations perform at their best.
Apply today and help us keep Domino’s moving. 🍕
