About the role
Quest Search & Selection are partnering with an established national retailer operating a diverse portfolio of over 125 stores across high streets, garden centres, tourist destinations and larger retail locations.
We are recruiting a Store Manager to lead a high-turnover, tourist-focused destination store, encompassing fashion, lifestyle retail and restaurant/café operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and profitability, leading and developing the team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience across the entire operation.
Key responsibilities of Store Manager role:
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the store, ensuring operational standards and company procedures are consistently maintained.
- Lead, coach and develop the team, fostering a motivated and high-performing working environment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Drive sales, maximise profitability and manage operational costs in line with budgets.
- Respond to local customer needs, market trends and seasonal demand to maximise commercial opportunities, particularly during peak tourist periods.
To be successful in this Store Manager role:
- Open to candidates having management experience across retail, hospitality, restaurants, cafés, garden centres, visitor attractions, fashion & retail or other customer-focused, experience-led environments.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, support and develop a team.
- A commercially minded approach, with an understanding of the retail environment and the ability to identify growth opportunities.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to customer engagement and driving sales performance.
- A commitment to team development, with a passion for coaching, training and supporting career progression.
