SEND Teacher, Sefton

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and nurturing SEND Teacher to join our supportive team based in Sefton. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching tailored to individual learning needs, creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

The Role

• Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes in line with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Support teachers with differentiated and engaging learning activities.
• Help students with their academic progress, emotional wellbeing, social development and independence.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
• Build strong, positive relationships with students.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and other learning difficulties.

The Ideal Candidate

• Have experience working with pupils with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, SEMH, or Complex Learning Difficulties.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Resilient, adaptable and confident supporting students with additional needs.
• Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential.
