Responsibilities in your new role as Head Chef
As Head Chef, you will lead and oversee the day-to-day operations across multiple kitchens within a luxury 5-star venue. Your responsibilities will include:
- Inspiring, developing, and managing the kitchen team, creating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency across every service
- Designing and developing creative seasonal menus showcasing the finest locally sourced Scottish produce
- Ensuring exceptional guest dining experiences through outstanding culinary standards
- Managing food costs, budgets, and kitchen performance to meet financial targets
- Overseeing stock control, ordering, and waste management to maximise efficiency
- Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP regulations
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are looking for an accomplished and creative Head Chef with a proven track record of leading high-performing kitchens within luxury hospitality. You'll be a natural leader with a passion for culinary excellence, innovation, and developing talented teams.
We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef within a luxury hospitality environment
- A proven track record of leading a multi-Rosette kitchen
- A creative approach to menu development and seasonal Scottish produce
- Passion for delivering exceptional food quality and guest experiences
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing, mentoring, and inspiring kitchen teams
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to consistently high standards
- Experience managing kitchen budgets, food costs, stock control, and financial performance
- Sound knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP regulations
