Store Manager

Location: Next to Manchester Airport - free parking and easy access
Salary: £30,000 basic + monthly bonus of around £500-£600 - No late-night finishes and Sociable daytime working hours
OTE: Approximately £36,000-£37,000

Our client is a growing and well-established storage solutions provider based in Greater Manchester, known for delivering excellent customer service, modern facilities and a friendly, professional experience for customers.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a customer-focused and commercially minded Store Manager to take ownership of their Hale Barns site.

This is a great opportunity for someone from a retail, hospitality, customer service, sales or site management background who wants to retain commercial responsibility and team leadership, while moving into a role offering a much better work-life balance.

The site is located next to Manchester Airport, with free parking and easy access, making it convenient for candidates travelling from across South Manchester, Trafford and the surrounding areas.

As Store Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running and performance of the site. You will lead from the front across customer service, sales, operations, compliance and site standards, ensuring customers receive a professional and friendly service while driving commercial performance.

You will take ownership of enquiries, conversions, occupancy, local activity and the overall customer experience, while ensuring the facility remains safe, secure, clean and well presented.

• Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the store
• Drive sales performance, enquiry conversion and site occupancy
• Deliver excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships
• Guide customers through the full enquiry, sales and rental process
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and support local marketing activity
• Maintain high standards across site presentation, cleanliness, safety and security
• Handle administration, contracts and customer records accurately
• Resolve customer queries quickly and professionally
• Ensure compliance, operational standards and company procedures are followed
• Lead, motivate and support the team to deliver a high level of service
• Report on site performance, activity and opportunities for improvement

• Experience within retail, hospitality, sales, customer service, storage, leisure, property, automotive or another customer-facing management environment
• Previous experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Branch Manager, Deputy Manager, Sales Manager or similar would be ideal
• Commercially minded and comfortable working towards sales targets
• Confident communicator with strong people skills
• Proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of presentation
• Positive, hands-on approach
• Comfortable working in a customer-led, sales-focused environment
• Full UK driving licence preferred, as occasional travel to other local sites or meetings may be required
