About the role
Location: Caerphilly
Pay Rate: £13.50 - £16.87 per hour
Shifts: 5 days per week 1:30pm - 10:00pm
We are currently recruiting a DAF Plant Operator to join a busy production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals looking for ongoing work with a competitive rate of pay.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain, operate and monitor the treatment facility
- Complete daily site meter readings
- Create preventative maintenance schedules
- Inspect and perform daily checks on plant performance to ensure effective operations and maintain records, including start-up, shut down and daily monitoring
- Ensure chemicals are stored safely in line with environmental policy
- Complete planned maintenance activities in the water plant during weekend quieter periods
- Liaise with site engineering as required during breakdowns and troubleshooting.
- Work in conformance to HSE regulations.
- Any other duties as required by management within the competency of the post holder.
Knowledge & Skills
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive in approach and problem solving.
- Commitment to good practice and quality service.
- Ability to work under own initiative to deliver to deadlines.
- Basic IT skills.
