Job Description: * Transport Clerk * Kettering - Northamptonshire * Permanent Role * Hours - 06:00am to 14:00pm * 40 hours per week * Days - Wednesday to Sunday * Breaks are paid - 30 minutes * £28,400 per annum plus £3,000 shift premium * 30% premium paid for weekend shifts One of the UK's largest logistics companies is actively seeking an enthusiastic Transport Clerk to join its busy transport department located in Islip near Northamptonshire About the Role We are looking for an organised, proactive Transport Clerk to join our growing logistics team. You will be responsible for planning efficient transport routes, coordinating with drivers and warehouse teams, and ensuring smooth day-to-day delivery operations. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same, perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving and taking ownership. Key Responsibilities * Plan and schedule daily transport routes efficiently. * Analyse data and track KPIs using Excel. * Prepare transport reports and support operational decision-making. * Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and external partners. * Identify improvements to transport efficiency and route planning. What We're Looking For * Previous roles within a similar environment * Good knowledge of drivers' hours and regulations * Strong IT skills, especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. * Familiarity with Paragon Transport Management System * Understanding of logistics/supply chain operations (advantageous). * Excellent organisation and communication skills.
