About the role
Orka Financial is recruiting a P&C Assistant for a three-month temporary assignment with an established organisation in Windsor. This is a full-time hybrid role, working one day each week in the office and four days from home, with an hourly rate of £16–£18.
The opportunity
You will help deliver a well-organised and positive experience for colleagues joining and leaving the organisation. Working closely with the wider People & Culture team, managers and internal support functions, you will keep each stage moving, make sure records are accurate and provide a responsive point of contact throughout.
Key responsibilities
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activity from initial paperwork through to completion.
• Prepare contracts, offer letters and other employee documentation using the HR system.
• Monitor pre-employment requirements such as references, Right to Work, professional registration, DBS and occupational health checks.
• Work with hiring managers and IT to arrange equipment, system access and timely leaver actions.
• Maintain confidential employee records and support routine data-quality and compliance checks.
• Process employee changes accurately, track outstanding tasks and produce activity updates.
• Respond to manager and employee queries and identify practical improvements to People processes.
About you
You will have previous experience in HR administration, people operations or employee onboarding, including coordinating pre-employment checks and maintaining confidential employee information. Strong attention to detail, clear communication and the ability to organise several priorities are essential.
Experience with HR systems is required. HiBob knowledge, exposure to offboarding, an understanding of employment compliance or experience in a regulated environment would be helpful. A CIPD Level 3 qualification, or progress towards it, is desirable rather than essential.
If you are available for a three-month assignment and can attend the Windsor office once a week, please apply for a confidential discussion.
