About the role
Birmingham City Centre | £26,000 – £28,000 | Permanent or 12-month FTC | Full time, office based
Just finished your degree and looking for a first role where you’ll actually get stuck in? This could be a great place to start.
Our client is a well-established training provider in Birmingham, supporting hundreds of electrical apprentices at the start of their careers. They work with a large network of employers across the region. The office team is friendly and close-knit, and they genuinely make a difference to the people coming through their doors.
They’re looking for a bright, organised graduate to join as Office Administrator. No two days are quite the same, so they want someone who’s happy to muck in wherever they’re needed.
What you’ll be doing
- Keeping the day running smoothly: scheduling apprentice groups, processing registers and recording attendance
- Acting as the link between the training centre, apprentices and their employers, by phone and email
- Scheduling and invigilating exams, including organising practical assessments
- Preparing enrolment letters, paperwork and induction packs for new apprentices
- Helping arrange catch-up sessions for apprentices who’ve missed training or need to resit
- Tracking apprentice progress and reviews, and keeping trackers up to date
- General office support: printing, photocopying, binding and whatever else crops up
What they’re looking for
- A recent graduate (any discipline) with a strong academic record
- Well organised, with a good eye for detail
- Confident and friendly on the phone and over email
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office
- Proactive, positive and happy to roll your sleeves up
Hours
Monday to Thursday, 8am – 4.30pm
Friday, 8am – 4pm (an earlier finish to start the weekend)
