Prompt Engineer, Claude, LLM
£690 per day | Outside IR35 | Fully Remote | Contract
We're looking for an experienced Prompt Engineer to support a major AI-enabled transformation programme.
Working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, you'll be responsible for translating requirements into high-quality prompts, instructions and AI workflows, ensuring AI outputs are accurate, consistent and aligned to business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyse business requirements from key stakeholders.
- Translate business processes into effective prompts, instructions and AI workflows.
- Design, optimise and refine prompts to improve output quality and consistency.
- Test and evaluate AI responses, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Apply best practice around LLM behaviour, guardrails and hallucination management.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams throughout delivery.
Required Experience:
- Strong experience with Claude and Claude Code.
- Proven background in prompt engineering, prompt design and optimisation.
- Excellent requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into effective AI solutions.
- Strong understanding of LLM behaviour, guardrails and output quality management.
- Experience testing and refining prompts to improve accuracy and reliability.
