Quantity Surveyor

Your new role:
Due to continued growth and a healthy order book, an opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. You will be responsible for the commercial management of groundworks and earthworks packages from procurement through to final account, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors and clients.

Key duties will include:

• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
• Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management.
• Managing subcontractor payments and commercial negotiations.
• Monitoring project performance and identifying commercial opportunities and risks.
• Supporting the delivery team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and site teams.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, earthworks, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of cost control and commercial management principles.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts and valuations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced contracting environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Degree qualification or relevant construction-related qualification would be advantageous.
