About the role
An Accounts Payable Manager will be hired for a period of 12 months. Out client is looking for someone who is available quickly and they would be willing to consider a career interim or candidates willing to consider a transition to permanent employment. Hybrid working.
General Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensure the accounts payable is operated accurately, efficiently and to agreed timescales and oversee the process from input to payment.
- Perform month end duties and ad hoc reporting requirements
- Support with a systems change and user testing
- Manage a team of 6 with day to day and management throughout the change and transformation
- Training and mentoring of staff/team
- Checking payment runs

About You
- You will be an expert in Accounts Payable
- Proven track record within a mainstream accounts payable function and preferably have experience in a similar Accounts Payable Manager role.
- Positive attitude to problem solving as well as forward thinking
- Strong IT skills including using spreadsheets
- Ability to manage and motivate staff
- Ability to liaise with other departments
- Be resilient through times of change and transformation
