Position Overview

The CLS Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery and equipment. This is a seasonal position depending on the regional location.

Job Duties

Drive and operate heavy equipment including tractors skid steers and loaders.
Prepare sites for filling grading top-dressing and sodding.
Control machinery while monitoring material distribution.
Transport materials and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment report malfunctions.
Communicate with coworkers for task coordination and ensure work meets specifications.
Set up work site for traffic control and vehicle safety.
Follow instructions adhere to safety regulations and maintain professional knowledge and certifications.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age to be a Department of Transportation (DOT) certified driver for specific vehicles or equipment.
Ability to complete required safety courses upon hire.
Ability to complete Davey Career Development Program (CDP) books.
Ability to pass a mobile equipment operations certification test.
Valid Drivers License. Class B CDL valuable but not required.
