Junior Management Accountant

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with an established and growing business based in Birmingham. With an evolving operation and a hands-on approach, the business offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to take the next step in their accounting career.

They are now looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant who is keen to build on their existing experience and progress towards a Management Accountant position. Working directly with the Finance Director, you'll gain exposure to the full month-end process, management accounts and wider financial reporting, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys getting involved beyond the numbers, working closely with the wider business and contributing to commercial decisions.

• Previous experience supporting month-end and management accounts, with a clear understanding of journals, reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work with non-finance stakeholders and contribute within a hands-on business environment.

• Proficient in Excel, including creating formulas from scratch, with experience using Power BI to analyse and present financial information.

• Experience within property development would be beneficial, as the business is looking to diversify its product offering and explore new areas of opportunity.

• A clear opportunity to progress into a Management Accountant position, taking on greater ownership of month-end and management accounts over time.
