About the role
Your mission
We are seeking a New Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our customer base across the UK. The role focuses on developing new commercial relationships and establishing long-term supply partnerships, supported by the resources of a well-invested international group. You will have a high degree of autonomy in shaping and managing your territory.
- Develop new business with ready-mix producers, precast manufacturers, cement producers and blenders
- Engage with contractors, engineers and specifiers to support product specification and adoption
- Manage opportunities from initial engagement through to long-term supply agreements
- Coordinate with technical and operations colleagues to support customer trials and transition them into contracted supply
- Prepare proposals, deliver presentations and lead commercial negotiations
- Monitor market developments and competitor activity, and represent the company at industry events
- Provide regular reporting on pipeline, activity and performance
Your profile
- A demonstrable record of developing new business and achieving commercial targets
- Ability to engage credibly on both technical and commercial matters with plant managers, procurement teams, engineers and specifiers
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills
- Well organised and self-directed, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across functions
- Analytical approach to market assessment and business planning
- Proficiency with CRM, ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Interest in the construction sector's transition to lower-carbon materials
Experience in construction materials is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
