Engineering Lecturer

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lecturer to join an FE College in North London on a temporary basis, delivering high-quality teaching across T Level Engineering and BTEC Level 3 Engineering programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable engineering professional with teaching experience who can confidently deliver a range of specialist engineering units and support students in developing the technical knowledge and practical skills needed for progression into industry or further study.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective teaching across T Level Engineering and BTEC Level 3 Engineering programmes.
• Teach T Level content covering Materials and their Properties, Mechatronics, Engineering Representations, Quality Management, Health and Safety, Professional Responsibilities, and Project and Programme Management.
• Deliver BTEC Level 3 Engineering Units 2, 3, 5 and 10.
• Plan and prepare learning materials, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Maintain a positive learning environment, ensuring students are supported to meet programme requirements and develop their engineering knowledge.

Requirements

• Previous experience delivering Engineering at Level 3 or above within an FE or similar educational setting.
• Confidence teaching T Level Engineering content and BTEC Level 3 Engineering units.
• Strong subject knowledge across relevant engineering principles, materials, mechatronics, and engineering processes.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and support learners of varying abilities.
• Competitive hourly rate of £45-50 per hour.
• Opportunity to work within an established FE College in North London.
• A varied teaching role covering both T Level and BTEC Level 3 Engineering.
• Temporary assignment running from an ASAP start until February.
