About the role
You've managed Accounts Payable teams before. But how often do you get the chance to genuinely improve the function?
This isn't a role where you're expected to simply maintain the status quo.
The business has invested significantly in its finance infrastructure, including a major ERP implementation, and is now looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to help build on that progress.
You'll lead an established team, work closely with Finance and Procurement, and help ensure the Accounts Payable function delivers a high-quality service across the business.
With the foundations already in place, you'll have the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, develop the team and influence how the function evolves.
What you'll be doing- Leading, motivating and developing an experienced Accounts Payable team
- Overseeing the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process
- Driving process improvements across Accounts Payable and related functions
- Working closely with Procurement and other stakeholders to improve efficiency and service levels
- Monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Strengthening controls and reporting processes
- Supporting ongoing systems and process enhancement initiatives
- Ensuring the team continues to deliver a high-quality service to the wider business
You'll already have experience managing an Accounts Payable function, ideally within a larger or more complex organisation.
You'll be known for building strong teams, improving processes and bringing structure where it's needed. You're comfortable challenging existing ways of working, asking questions and finding practical solutions.
Experience of a finance or ERP system implementation would be particularly valuable. If you've played a key role in implementing a new system, we'd be especially keen to hear from you.
Most importantly, you'll be a leader who can bring people with you, building trust while delivering positive change.
What's in it for you?- Competitive salary and benefits package
- Hybrid working
- The opportunity to play a visible leadership role within a key finance function
- A supportive leadership team that values ideas and continuous improvement
- The chance to make a tangible impact within a large and well-established business
Apply with your CV or contact Natalie at Paul Card Recruitment for a confidential conversation.
Whether you're actively looking or simply open to hearing about the right opportunity, we'd love to tell you more. If you enjoy developing people, improving processes and making a genuine difference, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
