We're recruiting for a Credit Control Supervisor to join a leading international professional services business based in Leeds City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and develop a team, drive cash collection performance and play a key role in improving credit control processes within a fast-paced, professional environment.

Reporting into the wider finance function, you'll oversee the day-to-day performance of the credit control team, ensuring effective collection strategies are in place, aged debt is managed proactively and processes continue to evolve.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of Credit Controllers, conducting regular one-to-ones and reviewing individual ledger performance.

• Driving collection activity in line with credit policies, reducing aged debt and minimising bad debt exposure.

• Monitoring team KPIs and implementing strategies to improve collection performance and cash flow.

• Managing escalated accounts, complex queries and account reconciliations through to resolution.

• Identifying risks, inefficiencies and opportunities to improve existing credit control processes.

• Leading process improvement initiatives and ensuring best practice is embedded across the business.

• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and external decision-makers to agree effective collection strategies.

• Working closely with senior stakeholders, including Partners and Financial Controllers, to review aged and complex debt.

• Supporting ad hoc projects and ensuring the team meets deadlines during month-end, quarter-end and year-end.

We're looking for a proactive, organised and commercially minded individual who can motivate a team while remaining confident handling complex credit control matters.

You'll ideally bring:

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a finance or credit control environment.

• A strong understanding of end-to-end credit control, debt recovery and aged debt management.

• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

• A process-driven mindset, with the ability to identify and implement improvements.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex reconciliations and escalated queries.

• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels, alongside a professional and discreet approach to confidential information.

• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

• A willingness to work towards an ICM qualification, with support for professional development.
