Sales Ledger/Credit Controller

We are working with a successful business looking to recruit a Sales Ledger/Credit Control Clerk to join its finance team on a temporary basis therefore this role requires an immediate start.

You will play an important role in ensuring sales transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, working closely with colleagues across sales, logistics and finance.

• Location: Huddersfield
• Hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days WFH
• Hours: Flexible - core hours are 10am - 3pm

The Job:

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing sales orders and ensuring invoices are raised accurately and on time across multiple business entities.
• Assisting with credit control activities and sales ledger reconciliations.
• Responding to customer and internal queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Preparing and issuing customer statements.
• Processing sales invoices and verifying and recording financial transactions.
• Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day activities and ad-hoc duties as required.

The Person:

• Experience of Sales Ledger and/or Credit Control is essential.
• Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel.
• The ability and willingness to learn new accounting software.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
• A professional, polite manner and a positive, can-do attitude is required.
