Robert Half are recruiting an Interim Head of Finance (12-Month FTC) in Wiltshire (Office Based)
Start Date: December 2026
The Opportunity
A growing and successful business based in Wiltshire is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to join the organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a team and playing a key role in supporting the company's continued growth and strategic development.
This position would suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys balancing operational finance, business partnering, and strategic projects within a growing environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead, develop and support a finance team of five.
Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
Oversee costing and profitability analysis across business lines.
Deliver insightful financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes.
Lead the annual audit process and act as the key point of contact for external auditors.
Ensure VAT compliance and oversee all statutory financial obligations.
Support payroll processes and financial controls.
Manage CAPEX reporting, tracking and investment analysis.
Work closely with the Finance Director on strategic initiatives and business improvement projects.
Support M&A activity, including due diligence, analysis and integration support where required.
Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting and controls.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA ).
Previous experience in a Head of Finance, Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager position.
