Pure Search is delighted to be partnering with a leading global energy business to appoint an Indirect Tax Manager, supporting operations across the Central European region.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded in-house tax team within a complex international business operating across multiple jurisdictions. The role offers a broad mix of advisory and compliance responsibilities, with significant exposure to commercial stakeholders and cross-border transactions.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing indirect tax support across multiple Central European jurisdictions.
• Advising the business on VAT and indirect tax implications of cross-border transactions.
• Supporting the indirect tax compliance process and managing relationships with external advisers.
• Partnering with finance, commercial and supply chain teams on tax-related matters.
• Advising on the movement of goods, import/export considerations and evolving indirect tax requirements.
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives and wider tax projects across the region.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong indirect tax experience gained in-house or within a professional services environment.
• Exposure to the energy, commodities, trading, logistics or wider supply chain sectors.
• Experience advising on cross-border transactions and the movement of goods.
• A strong understanding of European VAT principles and indirect tax risks.
• The ability to engage effectively with both tax and non-tax stakeholders.
