Contracts Manager

Job Title: Operations Manager / Contracts Manager (Structural Steel) Location: South West Salary: 60,000– 70,000 per annum An established structural steel contractor is seeking an Operations Manager / Contracts Manager to lead project delivery functions across the business. Following the resignation of a senior operational leader, the company requires an experienced manager to oversee Project Managers, site teams and project performance. This role would suit an individual with a strong background in structural steel or the wider steel industry and proven experience leading project teams within a construction or engineering environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the project management and site delivery teamsOversee the successful delivery of multiple projects across the businessProvide leadership, guidance and support to Project ManagersMonitor project performance, resources and operational efficiencyEnsure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budgetBuild strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholdersSupport strategic planning and operational decision–makingDrive continuous improvement across project delivery processesExperience Required: Experience within the structural steel or steel industryProven leadership experience managing Project Managers or project delivery teamsStrong people management and team development skillsTrack record of overseeing multiple concurrent projectsSolid understanding of construction project delivery and operationsCommercial awareness with experience managing budgets and performanceExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to lead teams and maintain high operational standardsDesirable: Previous experience as an Operations Manager or Contracts ManagerExperience managing large project portfoliosBackground in structural steel fabrication, installation or contractingRelevant management or construction qualificationsKey Skills Required: Operations Management, Contracts Management, Structural Steel, Leadership, Team Management, Project Delivery, Construction, Stakeholder Management, Commercial Management, Resource Planning This employer is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified individuals regardless of protected characteristics.
