Transport Traffic Controller

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 37.5 hours, Any 5 from 7, rotational 7am - 3pm and 10am - 6pm
Location: Worksop - S80 3EG

As a Transport Traffic Controller, you'll act as a key control point between transport operations, suppliers and internal stakeholders. You'll investigate additional charges, challenge discrepancies, maintain accurate records and ensure transport-related costs and incidents are managed effectively. This role would suit someone with transport or logistics experience who enjoys problem solving, analysing information and driving issues through to resolution.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Tracking, investigating and resolving transport-related charges and discrepancies using internal systems and digital platforms
• Challenging subcontractor and supplier charges, validating costs and ensuring all information is accurately recorded and processed
• Managing transport incident records, maintaining accurate documentation and escalating issues where required
• Producing reports, analysing data and identifying trends to support cost control and continuous improvement
• Working closely with transport, finance and external stakeholders to resolve queries and maintain data accuracy

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Have experience within transport, logistics or supply chain administration and understand transport operations and associated costs
• Enjoy investigating issues, identifying discrepancies and seeing queries through to resolution
• Are confident challenging information and working with suppliers and subcontractors to resolve cost and service-related queries
• Have excellent attention to detail and can work accurately with data, invoices, charges and reporting information
• Possess strong Microsoft Office and IT skills, particularly when working across multiple systems
