Warehouse Operations Assistant

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Warehouse Operations Assistant to join an established logistics business based in Bathgate.

Our client runs one of the area’s busiest distribution centres, and this role sits at the front of the operation: receiving deliveries, moving stock and getting it stored in the right place. You’ll work across ambient, chilled and frozen areas, with full training and PPE provided.

• Working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis (including weekends)
• Choice of two shifts: 5am to 2pm OR 11am to 8pm
• Paid weekly at £12.90 per hour
• Paid breaks and full in-house MHE training provided

Please note: This role involves working across temperature-controlled areas including chilled and frozen environments – full PPE is provided.

As a Warehouse Operations Assistant, your duties will include:

• Receiving, handling and moving stock safely throughout the warehouse
• Unloading deliveries and preparing stock for put-away
• Storing stock accurately in designated warehouse locations
• Identifying and reporting damaged stock, shortages or quality concerns
• Operating MHE once trained, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards

To be considered as a Warehouse Operations Assistant, you will need:

• Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately at pace
• The ability to carry out manual handling throughout your shift
• Flexibility to work across both shift patterns including weekends
• Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience is welcome but not essential
• LLOP, PPT or Bulk Truck operation is a distinct advantage
