Exciting Opportunity for Registered Scrub Nurse (Band 5) - In the Basildon Area

MedicsPro are seeking experienced Scrub Nurses - Band 5 with recent NHS experience, who are looking for flexible extra shifts or full-time agency work within the Basildon Area.

This opportunity is to cover Monday - Saturday, day shifts, during the hours of 8am-8pm.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare instruments and set up surgical equipment to ensure a sterile and efficient environment.
* Assist in positioning, preparing, and draping patients according to surgical procedures.
* Support the surgical team by scrubbing in for surgery and anticipating the surgeon's needs for equipment and instruments.
* Label and document medications and other items used in the operating room accurately.
* Monitor and record the patient's respiratory and cardiovascular signs throughout the procedure.
* Communicate effectively with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure smooth and successful operations.
* Consider potential complications and develop a plan of action for any necessary lifesaving measures.
* Maintain strict hygiene standards, including washing hands and arms with surgical soap before and after procedures.
