Packing Operatives

to work in our Bulk Pork Packing Department at our

Westerleigh

site who are keen to learn new skills, are focused and driven. If you feel that this describes you, we want to hear from you! We are looking to invest into people, providing role specific training to progress enthusiastic candidates up through the business. Reporting to the Bulk Pork Packing Supervisor, successful applicants will be trained to rotate across a number of areas including, the box room, freezer lines and carousel. You will also be responsible for complying with health, safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 06:00am – 14:30pm Location: Westerleigh, BS37 8QZ Key Responsibilities: Ensure work is carried out to the best of the Operative's abilities to meet production deadlines Seek training to maintain skills and remain up to date with best practice Work as part of a team and take responsibility for own work Comply with Company policy and procedures on safe food handling and hygiene at all times Maintain responsibility for operational effectiveness of equipment and machinery and report faults to Management in a timely manner Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned necessary to meet business needs. Operators will need to be flexible and use a variety of skills, understanding quality, product and safety requirements and be able to handle non routine situations which may arise.
