About the role
RG Consultancy are recruiting a Management Accountant to join a successful and growing SME business based in Knowsley. Reporting to the finance manager, this is an excellent opportunity for ACCA/ CIMA, part/ qualified candidate to grow their career and be part of an expanding team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reporting
- Take ownership of the month-end process, including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
- Produce detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year results
- Provide clear financial insight to senior management
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Monitor business performance, costs and KPIs
- Work closely with operational teams to improve financial understanding and cost control
- Support cash flow forecasting
- Assist with year-end accounts and external audit requirements
- Prepare VAT returns and other financial information where required
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting
- Provide financial analysis and support on ad hoc projects as required
- 2 years' experience within a senior finance role
