Welcome from the Principal:
Outwood Academy Bydales is an 11-16 school located in the beautiful coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the North York Moors National Park and with spectacular views of the coastline. About the Department:
We are an enthusiastic and experienced maths department which shows in the great results our students get each year. All members of staff are enthusiastic about their subject, whether this is in lessons or in out of lesson opportunities such as Axiom maths and the UK maths challenge.
The Teacher is expected to implement and use a wide range of teaching and learning strategies within the classroom, applying techniques like Assessment for Learning (AfL) to continually improve student performance. A core duty involves effectively using student level data to identify areas for development and raise standards.
This professional must be aware of strategies available for improving the learning and achievement of all students, alongside possessing a good understanding of curriculum developments within their specific subject area.
