About the role
Join an established independent builders' merchant as a Trade Sales Executive and build lasting relationships with trade customers while advancing your sales career.
FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established independent builders' merchant with the recruitment of a Trade Sales Executive.
Permanent, full-time position based in Edinburgh, working Monday to Friday.
Salary
£29,000 – £35,000, depending on experience + annual profit share bonus
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing trade customers
- Handle incoming customer enquiries and provide quotations and pricing
- Build strong relationships with builders, contractors and other trade customers
- Identify opportunities to increase repeat business and account spend
- Re-engage dormant accounts and develop new sales opportunities
- Provide product advice across building materials, tools, ironmongery and related products
- Upsell and maximise account value where appropriate
- Work closely with the wider sales team to secure orders
- Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the sales process
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within trade sales, builders' merchants, construction supplies or a similar environment would be advantageous
- Strong sales and customer relationship skills
- Good commercial awareness and confidence discussing pricing
- Experience managing customer accounts or developing repeat business
- Knowledge of building materials, tools, fixings or ironmongery would be beneficial
- Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills
- Proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a busy sales environment
- Strong focus on customer service and achieving sales results
