GSL Education Hull are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in East Yorkshire, supporting pupils across the primary age range.

About the Role as a Teaching Assistant:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in creating an engaging and positive learning environment while providing additional support to pupils who may require extra assistance.

You will work across the classroom, supporting pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.

• Assisting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons.

• Helping pupils access the curriculum and complete learning activities.

• Supporting pupils with their reading, writing and numeracy skills.

• Encouraging positive behaviour and good classroom routines.

• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.

• Providing additional support to pupils who may have SEND or other learning needs.

• Preparing classroom resources and learning materials.

• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.

• Working closely with teachers and other support staff to meet individual pupil needs.

What We're Looking For in a Teaching Assistant:

The ideal Primary Teaching Assistant will be enthusiastic, patient and passionate about helping children learn and develop.

Previous experience within a primary school or experience working with children would be advantageous. However, we welcome applications from individuals with transferable experience who are keen to develop a career within education.

You will need to demonstrate:
