About the role
GKH Recruitment are currently looking for HGV1 day drivers for a client in Rugeley. We can cater for drivers who want either a full-time or part-time PAYE position. The rate of pay is £18.00 per hour.
Duties include transporting curtain-side trailers across the UK, ensuring that all products are delivered before the deadlines given. The jobs are generally straight trunking, you will just be expected to open the curtains and also couple and uncouple the trailer. Start times are typically between 05.00-08.00, there are no nights out.
Due to restrictions within our insurance policy applicants must have held their HGV licence for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 6 endorsement points. Also, we cannot accept applicant with DD, DR or IN convictions.
A Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card are both essential for this role.
