About the role
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing freight business for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy finance team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of the freight industry and is confident managing high-volume purchase ledger processes.
The role will include:
- Processing and matching a high volume of supplier invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing and processing supplier payments
- Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong relationships
- Ensuring the purchase ledger is accurate and up to date
- Supporting the wider finance team when required
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Solid Purchase Ledger experience
- Previous experience working within freight, logistics or transport
- Hands-on experience using Sage and Boxtop
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- A proactive approach and the confidence to work in a busy environment
