Teaching Assistant G5

Burton Bradstock Primary School is looking for a skilled and dedicated member of staff to join our hardworking team of Teaching Assistants.

This post involves supporting teaching and learning across the school and includes working with children. Essential qualities include discretion, empathy, professionalism, and good personal organisation with great communication skills and a desire to see young people achieve their potential. The right candidate would also demonstrate adaptability and resilience. Understanding of learning difficulties, knowledge of subject areas, and experience of working with young people in an educational setting will be advantageous.

Role Details:

• Contract: Fixed term contract (approx start date of October 2026 – 16 July 2027), linked to specific work which is funded for a fixed term only.

• Hours: 10.5 hours per week. Working 38 weeks per year.

• Working Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the afternoons (subject to change according to business need).

• Salary: TA Grade 5, SCP 5-6 (£6,286 - £6,385 actual salary - Recent Pay Award Applied)

• Closing date: 9am on 22 October 2026
