We are looking for confident and adaptable individuals who can support teaching and learning across a range of year groups and provide classroom cover when required.

The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and school leaders to support high-quality learning experiences. You may lead small group interventions, support pupils with additional needs, and occasionally deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum.
• Deliver planned lessons and classroom activities when required.
• Lead small group and one-to-one interventions to improve pupil progress.
• Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEND.
• Assist with assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you should:

• Have previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Hold HLTA status or have significant classroom-based experience.
• Have strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Be confident delivering learning activities to whole classes when required.
• Have excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Be flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to different school environments.
• Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
