Managing Director

Role: Managing Director
Location: National / UK-based
Salary: £95,000 per annum

Are you a senior leader ready to take full ownership of a specialist engineering services division? As Managing Director, you will hold full P&L responsibility and operate at board level, driving strategic growth, operational excellence and cultural alignment across multiple business streams. You will be working for a leading UK security technologies group with a strong national footprint and ambitious growth plans.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute divisional strategy aligned with wider group objectives
Deliver sustainable, double-digit profit growth across all service lines
Identify market opportunities, emerging technologies, and industry trends
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing senior leadership team
Optimise operational processes and empower field delivery teams
Take full P&L ownership, balancing commercial performance and cost control
Manage direct labour and subcontractor delivery models
Set commercial standards for bids, tender,s and contract delivery
Drive expansion through strategic partnerships and new service offerings
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
Ensure all reporting requirements and governance standards are met
Uphold information security and compliance policies

Experience and Certifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent
Minimum 7 years’ senior leadership experience within engineering environments, including 5+ years with P&L responsibility
Strong knowledge of technical service-led environments (fire, security or related sectors desirable)
Proven track record of delivering growth and improving profitability
Strong financial acumen and strategic planning capability
Exceptional communication and leadership skills
Experience leading organisational change in high-growth or high-pressure environments
