Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a school cleaning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school, ensuring that classrooms, toilets, corridors and communal areas are kept clean, safe and presentable.

You will be allocated a specific area to clean each day, with all relevant training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks, cubicles, floors, soap dispensers and hand dryers.
• Hoover, sweep and mop floors throughout the school.
• Clean classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, offices and school halls.
• Wipe down desks, shelves, window sills and other surfaces.
• Sanitise showers, changing rooms and indoor sports facilities.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety.
• Use cleaning equipment, including scrubber dryer machines where required.
• Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all allocated areas are completed to a high standard.

Requirements

• A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleaning standards.
• The ability to work independently and manage daily cleaning tasks.
• An understanding of workplace hygiene and health and safety.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
