Job Description
TR2 Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Brickwork Technician to join a Further Education college in Doncaster on a full-time, temporary basis.
This position is to cover long-term sickness absence and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced bricklayer or construction professional looking to work within an educational environment.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of Brickwork courses, ensuring workshops are fully prepared, equipment is maintained, and learners have access to a safe and well-organised practical learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare materials, tools and equipment for practical Brickwork sessions.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
Support lecturers and learners during practical activities.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering materials.
Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and stored correctly.
Assist with health and safety procedures within the workshop.
Requirements
Previous experience within Brickwork or the construction industry.
Good practical knowledge of bricklaying tools, materials and techniques.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
Previous experience in an FE college or training environment is desirable but not essential.
A full Enhanced DBS certificate is essential, ideally registered on the DBS Update Service.
Availability to start immediately.
