gap technical is proud to be representing a leading FMCG/food manufacturing business in its search for Maintenance Engineers to join a modern production facility near Wrexham.
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise disruption to production. \n
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and implement corrective actions for recurring faults. \n
- Prioritise maintenance activities within your designated production area. \n
- Diagnose faults efficiently using technical documentation and machine history. \n
- Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure maximum equipment uptime. \n
- Support and train operators in basic maintenance tasks and assist with more complex repairs when required. \n
- Maintain machinery in line with safety, quality, and operational standards. \n
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving reliability. \n

Candidate Requirements

- \n
- Completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship (preferred). \n
- Multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias. \n
- Previous experience within food, FMCG, or packaging manufacturing environments is highly desirable. \n
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills. \n
\n
