About the role
We require two qualified Senior Children’s Residential Practitioner to work directly under the Home Manager within an up and running new residential project on the outskirts of Leicester.
You will be working with young people aged between 13 and 17 with challenging behaviour and complex such as autism, eating disorders, sexualised behaviour, self-harm, aggressive personality and addiction, you must understand the complexities of challenging behaviour and have experience working or interacting with young people or complex needs. Candidates must be confident, self-aware, interactive and knowledgeable of the reasons why young people are in care and understand the challenges faced on a regular basis when working within a children’s residential or secure setting.
We are looking for ambitious individuals who have aspirations to manager in the future.
A driving license is required for this position as you will be required to drive the on-site vehicle to take the service users to social activities and family contacts. An enhanced DBS must be obtained which is paid by the employer unless you are registered on the government’s on-line status checks.
Applicants will be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Young People (or equivalent).
