Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with a successful SME in East Grinstead who are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join their team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership and ensure the finance function runs efficiently.
Key duties of the Senior Finance Assistant:
- Overseeing day-to-day purchase and sales ledger
- Processing invoices, payments and bank reconciliations
- Managing credit control and outstanding payments
- Supporting month-end, including accruals, prepayments and journals
- Preparing and reviewing monthly P&L accounts
- Liaising with the external Accountant and resolving queries
- Taking ownership of finance tasks and ensuring deadlines are met
- Supporting and motivating colleagues to maintain efficient workflows
We are looking for:
- Previous accounts/finance experience, ideally at senior level
- Xero experience - essential
- Strong knowledge of purchase/sales ledger, reconciliations and credit control
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas and data handling
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident challenging and querying where required
- Proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership
- Ability to support and motivate others
