Property Solicitor (Permanent)

A well-established and forward-thinking Law Firm in the South West is looking to recruit an experienced Property Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer to join its growing property department in their Bristol office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property lawyer looking to join a supportive, ambitious and progressive regional practice, with genuine opportunities for career development and progression.

The firm is open to candidates specialising in Residential Property, Commercial Property, or a combination of the two, and there is flexibility to shape the position and caseload around the successful candidate’s particular experience and interests.

You will join an established property team, managing your own caseload from initial instruction through to completion while working alongside experienced colleagues across the firm's offices.

For those with a Residential Property background, the caseload will include a broad range of residential conveyancing matters, including:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Residential leases and associated documentation
• Transfers and other general residential property matters
• Advising and supporting clients throughout the conveyancing process

For candidates specialising in Commercial Property, the role can incorporate a varied and interesting caseload including:

• Commercial property acquisitions, sales and disposals
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases and agreements for lease
• Landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals, rent reviews, assignments and licences
• Commercial and mixed-use development projects
• Site acquisitions, plot sales, options and conditional contracts
• Property finance, refinancing and secured lending
• Overage and clawback arrangements
• Title investigations and reporting on title
• Sale and purchase of business assets

There is also scope to undertake rural and agricultural property work for someone with experience or an interest in developing this area.

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives and Licensed Conveyancers with a solid background in residential and/or commercial property.

Candidates will ideally have 3+ years’ PQE. You should be comfortable managing your own caseload and have strong technical, organisational and client-care skills. You will be joining a collaborative team, so the firm is looking for someone who enjoys working with others while also having the confidence to take responsibility for their own matters.
