About the role
IMH Recruitment are seeking a General Yard Operative to join our client in Barnsley. Job Duties: Sort metals and strip down cables. Operate power tools and hand tools to complete various yard duties Operate the weighbridge on the yard Loading and unloading vehicles Keeping the yard tidy Other duties as required Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment About You: Previous yard experience or working in a recycling/scrap metal environment would be an advantage Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and supervisors Basic understanding of health and safety regulations Physical fitness for manual handling tasks Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures Hours & Pay Monday to Friday 08:00am - 16:30pm Starting salary 13.25 per hour.
