Critical Shift Engineer

We have a brilliant opportunity for an Critical Shift Engineer to work on a critical site based in Croydon, offering the opportunity to work in a data centre, receive high voltage training and to offer additional internal opportunities.

You will be working a continental shift pattern, (Days and nights)

As an Electrical Engineer, you will ensure all PPM and reactive maintenance primarily on electrical systems, participate with site shutdowns / HV switching, ensure all critical plant is working efficiently, update site logbooks, actively fault find / troubleshoot and ensure the client is satisfied with the service provided

Critical Shift Engineer Duties:

• PPMs & Reactive maintenance
• Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), LV/HV switching, Shutdowns, Switchgear, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, BMS Operation
• Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
• Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
• Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
• Organising subcontractors
• Completing logbooks and RAMS
• Reports
• Permits to work
• Raise and close jobs on PDA's as necessary.

Critical Shift Engineer Requirements:

• City and Guilds / EAL / NVQ or higher in Electrical installations / Engineering
• Electrical regulations
• 5 years experience within building services
• Experience within critical environments / critical equipment
• Great M&E equipment knowledge

Critical Shift Engineer Salary and Package:

• £560,000 per annum
• High voltage training provided
• Continental shift pattern (Day or night shift)
