Sales Executive/Business Development - Packaging Industry

Location: Field Based - UK Wide
Salary: £30,000-£40,000 + Commission
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

We are working with an established packaging business that is looking to appoint a Sales Executive to join their growing commercial team.

This is a UK-wide field based role, focused on developing new business, building strong customer relationships and growing existing accounts.

You will be responsible for:

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the UK.
• Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.
• Visiting customers and attending face-to-face meetings and site visits.
• Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable packaging solutions.
• Preparing quotations and negotiating pricing and terms.
• Managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to order.
• Growing existing customer accounts and identifying opportunities for additional sales.
• Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and reporting on opportunities.
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive a high level of service.

We are looking for a confident and commercially driven B2B salesperson who enjoys winning new business and developing customer relationships. Packaging experience would be highly desirable, particularly within flexible packaging, food packaging, industrial packaging, corrugated packaging, labels, printed packaging or protective packaging.

We would also consider candidates from other manufacturing, FMCG or technical B2B sales environments, provided you have a strong track record of developing business and managing customer accounts.

• Previous B2B sales experience.
• A proven track record of winning new business.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• The confidence to meet customers face-to-face.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Good commercial awareness.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel throughout the UK.
